STUDY DESIGN

This analysis attempts to answer these questions by analyzing certain factors that may or may not contribute to the creation of happy and healthy neighbourhoods. Throughout this analysis reasons have been provided for why some of these factors contribute towards creating community and sources sources are offered where possible.

However, the answer for this question is also a hypothesis itself. If certain neighbourhoods are considered more creative than others due to certain factors, what other factors are we missing to create a more complete picture? There can be no true answer given the depth of this question and I would like to encourage others to attempt answering this question using more resources than this analysis has access to.

This analysis attempts to see whether certain neighbourhoods have an advantage over others regarding the sheer number of any of the given factors than the other. However, once we begin to consider communities, we must consider the people that create them. This analysis, thus, attempts to compare the demographics of certain communities over others:

  1. Are some neighbourhoods older than others? Are some younger than others?
  2. Are some wealthier than others? Are some poorer? Does this affect a community’s opportunities for involvement?
  3. Are there barriers to community involvement that exist?
Given the data collected, as many variables that can be used to answer these questions will be used.
